What exactly is 'being free'? If we have to carry a national ID card around with us that has RFID technology in it that can track our every move, log our purchases, provide our spending habits to WalMart and force us to pay out the ass for a license renewal, is that free? Right now, our direct vote doesn't elect leaders, change policy or anything meaningful.

You can write letters to your congressman and they can ignore them, vote raises for themselves while at the same time saying they're against helping the poor and they don't support socialism, vote for laws nobody understands or has a say in. If that's freedom then I'm confused I guess. I have every right to complain about this country, write my congressman etc. without the love it or leave it bullshit. It's funny that the people who say this then turn right around and say how free we are but if you disagree then you should go....is that freedom?

Other than the people who run it, I love this country, what it stands for or used to stand for, the people, the places and all that. I just don't know how I feel about fucking around in other countries if the end result is more freedom for them and less freedom for us. Ever since this whole things started (global war on terror) it doesn't seem like there have been many positive changes, that's all I'm saying.

Again, BUY A GUN AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Kaczinsky (sp?) doesn't seem so crazy now, does he?

Damn straight. PA has it backwards. When you do a good job, you get paid for doing a good job. You don't get paid and then do a good job. Besides, our congressman SUCK anyways.

Tristan: Read the first few sentences of the Declaration of Independence. That is what you do in instances like these.

Funny you should mention that, check this out.

Ted Kaczinsky took part in mind control experiments during the 60's as part of project MKULTRA where the CIA did things I don't even want to speak of.

Oh, and I'm not about tobuy a gun.

That's so sad. . . His writings are not even coherent for someone so educated. :( Where does it mention Ted?

What about project MKULTRA?

IIRC, MKULTRA was a project to brainwash individuals to create sleeper assassins. They would be activated by a signal that was unknown to them.
