I seem to recall checking for continuity between my connector serial connector pins and the various ECU pins and finding that it was fine, I'll double check next time I get a chance though.

I'll also keep a close eye on any my throttle behavior. So far I haven't noticed any trouble or quirks at ambient temps ranging from 50 - 86 deg. f. I do agree though that having the fans manually controlled is not the best solution and that the ECU should be doing it's job and I'm still a little confused as to why my original air intake manifold with original IAC and TPS isn't idling right. I'm going to break down my old engine and manifold for parts so maybe I can swap some parts for an ECU with someone.

If however I do need to leave the fans out of the ECU's control, I'm going to keep my switch. I go out to the woods a lot to see the stars and it's nice to not have the whir from the fans disrupting the peaceful silence but still have my radio faintly going.

You can run the radio without the fans -- just put the ignition switch in ACC instead of ON.

Yeah, but that would require me changing the wiring, as it is now I can run the fans in ACC. I know, I know....
