Agreed.

Flaming is pointless, honestly.

If he likes it, so be it.

I have STi exhaust hangers on my Legacy. I think I'm going to put a huge STi banner across my windshield now.

:D

J/K. I do have to say that his car is tasteful. It will most definitely hand my car its ass, so he do whatever he wants and I'll still at least say he's faster than me.

im sayin that its the true orginal rally car the grandfather of the subaru rally begining, they started with our cars and the rare north american motor ej22t to begin there rally heratige, then they upgraded a little bit of things to be a major player.

thanks for the comments and dislikes i will keep it in mind for the next impreza i build. one thing i dont like on this car compared to my legacy turbo is there is no room in the back seats thats all.

are you planning on putting the newer headlights and grill on it to match the newer hood?

i was think about it, if i find one in a scrap yard i will for sure, i got to pay off my brakes give me a week or 2, then im getting a light fly wheel and stronger clutch cuz i got some slip in the clutch, also the factory fly wheel with 850000kms got a crack down the middle of it, its makeing to much power for the clutch to handle and its brand new.

when spring comes its time for some crazy bad ass heads and a huge turbo, little tuning and thats all i need to be a complete master piece of a subaru.

Looks good Nico. :)

Don't mind the haters, I think people screw with you just out of habit anymore.

It's a couple stickers people. Who cares? I could see getting upset if someone snuck up in the middle of the night and slapped STI stickers all over your own car but why care if it's on someone elses? The only thing that matters is if Nico likes it. Not everyone wants a sleeper. ;)

wait, what? Isn't every Subaru (or any other) rally car outside of classes like PGT 2.0L?

I know it's your car and you can do whatever to it and I shouldn't flame and all that, but putting a 22b badge on your car would be about the most retarded thing ever. The only people who will even notice a 22b badge are going to be the ones who know you don't have one.

Other than that I think the car is really cool. An older Impreza L with a swap is something I'd really like to have/do.

What's the big deal about the stickers? STI is a racing division. It's like showing support for STI. Do all the Italians with Ferrari stickers on their Vespas really think anyone believes they're Ferraris? They're just showing support for a company that's attained near holy status for them.

evolutionmovement hahahahah thats what im talking about. sti is a raceing division and its a true subaru division and i sure do race my car.

I'm not here to flame, PER SE, I just see STi as a performance company, like Perrin, or Cusco. Or to Honda owners, Mugen, Type R, etc

Couple of tips:

Get a shift boot
Clean out the engine bay (dust=heat trap)
and I'm not quiet sure if I'm liking the front of the hood; it doesn't quite match up with the grille right....

I guess I'm a little sensitive as I have an STI sticker on my car, but I've had them before most people even heard of them (before the WRX came here and all the Honda people jumped ship). My way of waving the Subaru flag.

word. I live my life a quarter mile at a time.

Also if it ain't a type R than it's not a tight car.

Be careful not to blow the welds on the intake.

I could go on forever, but I wont.

whats with the engine bay cleaning, it would take me for ever to do it. i am all ways under the hood of my car doing something, plus oil spay is going in in a couple of days i live in the great white north and snow and salt is going to eat my impreza all up.

jamal hahaha

Oil in an engine compartment is good! Some old British cars were designed to leak for corrosion protection. You should see the difference in front crossmember condition between my '93 turbo's (fairly clean, but rusted) and my original '90 N/A (filthy, but in pretty good shape). I had to restore the turbo's and it would've been a lot easier if I just had to clean it rather than grind it, rust convert, it and paint it.

2 words: Power Sprayer.

Yep...some degreaser and a power washer would do wonders :-D

I also like the little metal bristle brush for doing the intake manifold piping and stuff like that :-)
