Yep, that's the look of a pulley with a loose bolt. I deduced that whatever path I took I was going to have to take the pulley off. So I did:

I could not see the crank snout very well with the sun setting. I will check to see what kind of damage is on that and probably get a aluminum crank pulley and a new key (and new bolt).

Just another community service reminder.... pull up the e-brake and throw your car in 5th gear and check the tightness of that bolt with a breaker bar and 22mm socket. I have never touched that bolt or pulley in the 5 years I have had the car. Plus it helps to have a 300 lb neighbor to help crank down on the bolt to get it tight (I weigh half that :shock: )
