*breathes a sigh of relief*

While I'm thoroughly enjoying my new job at Subaru, I still had to put in some form of 2 weeks at Toyota, so my schedule for the past two weeks has been as follows: Tue-Thu, wake up at 7am to get to class at 9am, then head immediately to Subaru, put in my time there, then head straight for Toyota at 7pm, and get home around 11pm. On Mon-Wed-Fri, I have to wake up at 6am to get to class at 7:30am, and then again go straight to Subaru, then go to Toyota.

Basically, I haven't even shit in my own house since last weekend!

I gotta hand it to you people that work 2 jobs, it's murder!

But as of tonight I'm officially done with Toyota, so starting next week, I'll be getting home at 7pm instead of 11pm.

Subaru is just great. It's very relaxed, I do things on my schedule, I don't bust my ass near as much as I did at Toyota (we have a parts elevator for the second-floor parts!!), and it's just a much more pleasant place to work. Not to mention I'm making 75¢ more an hour

Word. That sounds like a sweet deal. Going to take any STi's on road tests? :D

Let me know if you come across any notched STi oil pans and matching oil pickups... I've still got that VF36 and headers sitting in my truck...

Actually, my first day, I went on a test drive with one of my parts coworkers... in a new Legacy GT  I'm telling you, I really love those cars...

I got two handshakes today, from both my managers.

Not to toot my own horn, but they're really impressed with me. They say I've got some of the best work ethic they've ever seen, and they're impressed with my Subaru knowledge.

That said, I've got a good chance at being bumped up to an official counterperson. My school schedule might hold that back a little, but they want to put me up there because - get this - they want to reward me for my hard work. I never heard those words at Toyota the whole 3½ years I was there...

That would be really friggen' cool, because we all know what official salespeople get... COMMISSION! :D

Awesome... you don't hear those words every day, especially from your employer.
