You really should have the thermostat, so I guess you have to wrestle the old one out. There's nothing holding it in; you may just have to grab it with pliers and try not to mangle it too badly. Then, at your next convenience, get a new one from a dealer to put in.
92 Legacy Turbos are supposed to have water pumps with 2 nipples. Did a previous owner swap in a 91 oil cooler setup or something? Or an entire 91 engine?
Verify that I'm correct -- that the "extra" hose is indeed going to the oil cooler (a little device between the oil filter and the block). If so, you can either tee it into one of the other two fittings, or even just plug the hose (although that'll may make it more likely for air to get trapped in there).

COnfirmd, there is an oil cooler thats been put in... weird. Alright so I can just plug that one for now and tee into it later? I got the thermostat out, but I dont have a gasket for it. Ideas about that?

Yeah, you should be able to just plug it for now... But actually it isn't too hard to tee it into the other line that's the same size; that's how mine is plumbed, since I also have a 2-nipple water pump.
The thermostat gasket is that rubber ring that fits around the edge of the thermostat. It's semi-reusable. If it didn't come out with the thermostat it must be still stuck in the old water pump.
If you absolutely have to, you could use some RTV silicone gasket-maker or something, but it'd be better not to, since it would be hard to remove afterwards.

The old gasket is ripped up a little, but I dont really have much choice. I guess Ill have to pull it all apart and put in a new thermostat sometime in the future. I would assume an old thermostat with an old gsket is better than no thermostat at all.
I dont have any tee's so I cant tee it right now.

Ive got the timing belt on, and the starter wont kick over now.

Turn the lights on and turn on the starter and if the lights go down when it clicks, bad battery or connection. Otherwise try banging the starter with something, I use a maglight on mine. Your problem doesn't have anything to do with the stuff you replaced. Somewhere between the battery and the starter.

So I got it all in, didnt fuck up the timing belt (dispite doing it completely the wrong way), hooked up all the hoses, did a bunch of other work while I was in there (Reservoir delete, AC delete, new hosing on a bunch of stuff)
And it leaks worse than fucking ever.
I barely got back home. So much for AutoX tomorrow.
I think I fucked up the gasket. It was just a shitty cardboard one and I didnt know you were suppose to add silicon sealer to it... So I think Im gonna have to take the whole damn thing apart again tomorrow, except by myself this time.
Im starting to see why people pay for mechanics.
