so who else is goin out to this.... can you guys recomened a good camp site? I'm trying to get plans together to roll out to this. Who else is staying where?

I've never camped. Go to nasioc.com in the MAIC section and find the STPR thread to see where all the Subaru dorks are staying.

I think the camp site that everyone always talks about is "Stony Fork" (or something like that) because it's only a mile or two from the splash. But, the splash is no longer the first stage, so that throws a wrench in those plans. So, the only advantage will be hanging out with all the other Subaru dorks.

If you want a B&B in a better location, then let me know.

Ok, I want to give a heads up here. We had the baby! A baby girl. Bella Mackenzie Barnes, 8 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches tall. A big girl! We had complications do to her size though. Jen is alright but she had to have a C-section because Bella was too big.

Because of this, my availabilty for the rally has come into question. Most likely everything will still be ok but if she isn't doing well that weekend or if there is no one to help her while I'm at the rally (she can't lift or drive or anything for 6 weeks) I might not be able to go at all.

So, I wanted to give you guys a heads up, especially Phil and Sam, because there is the possibilty I'll cancel at the last minute so a back up plan or alternate plan might be prudent. Like I said before, I think I'll most likely be going still and can have you guys stay but it could unravel and I don't want to leave you guys high and dry.

Congrats man.... ironically that's the exact size and weight I was when I was born... my mom had to have a C section too

good luck and good health with the newborn.... still hope you can make it to the rally though :)

Hey hey! Congrats! No more sleep for Matt.

PS - My fiance was a C-section too.

Thanks for the heads up Matt.

Sam, did you cancel that B&B? Or do you perhaps have a tent for possible campings?

Yup and yup.

B&B cancelled. I have a tent which I will bring just in case.

If we went camping and you woke up with a sore butt... would you tell anybody? Har har

Hmmm...maybe I could get a reservation at the campground just in case and plan to bail on it.

Oh sweeet!

Your neighbors are going to hate us if we roll out early in the AM. But then again, one neighbor is Jason, who probably won't care, and the rest is surely used to it by now :)

Good to hear Jen is feeling better. Gotta make more red blood cells to get that Hematocrit higher! (Sorry, my day job is to work on blood measurement devices)

Bad news. It looks like this weekend is going to be a no go for my house and there is the possibilty that I might not even be able to go at all. :(

If I do get to go at all I will probably have my kids with me and only attend a morning stage unless they really take to it.

I'm super bummed about this but my wife isn't feeling very good again and isn't comfortable with me being away and leaving her with the kids for an extended time like that. There is still the possibility that things will change last minute and I'll be able to go all day and stuff but the plans for my house are really probably not going to work out now so I want to give you guys (sam and phil) a heads up now so you can plan around it. I was really hoping to have you guys stay and I feel awful about it. I'm sorry.

No big deal, Matt. Thanks for trying, and I'm sorry you won't get a chance to hang out much.

I feel bad and my wife does too. She just doesn't feel well enough to have company yet. She was hoping that all would be good and the she would feel better but she told me she just wasn't comfortable with it. :(

No worries Matt! I'll probably end up driving up in the Forester with Debbie and we'll crash at Sam's campsite and car-camp it up.

If Jen is feeling OK, I'd love to swing by and say hello.

Yeah, I took off Friday and Saturday and since you have to drive through the Port to get to STPR anyways, you guys have to stop by and say hi! Especially since it might be easy to miss each other up at the rally on Saturday....if I can get my kids to go up with me.

Oh, I'm going to PM you about something so keep your eyes peeled! :D

Me? Eyes peeled like an orange.

Might be nice to take the Forester. I'll put an air mattress in the back and an AC converter for my laptop.

We can watch movies in my car!

Hey Matt,

I'll talked to Phil. We'll probably go straight to the campsite on Friday b/c it will be late. But, if you're free Sunday, we can chill then. Warning, though, we won't have much personal hygiene!

Yeah, I work 9:30 am to 5 pm Sunday. Another time I guess.

Have fun guys.
