Wow, that red and grey car is beautiful - great action photos of it. I'm biased becuase it looks so much like my rally Legacy (except nicer) even down to the David Carter hood!!!

Thanks Carter!
They went to good use.
I'm Just awed at the fact that my hoods landed on some a semi-pro's car...that and they look great..

Still no one ever cuts out the vents...it's funny.. I'm glad you all like how they came out, thanks for the complements.. I just wish i could sell all the ones i have..

Yeah David that hood came out great on the rally car, what we did for the vents is just drilled holes everywhere it was indented. Im still trying to figure out a way to support it when its up, do you think that those Tein hood struts would work?

Anyways thanks for all the great comments about the car, were still in the process of building her into a competitive Open Class rally car, after 2 years of rallying her. But I will deff pass along the comments to her :)

Oh and someone asked awhile ago about what kinda wheels that are on the car. They are Rod Millen Panasport gravel spec 15's. They are the same ones that Rod Millen used on his 323 rally car in the mid 80's. And they are the same wheels that Chad DiMarco (Owner-Subie Sport in CA) ran on the works RS Legacy's back in the yearly 90's.

If anyone out there is looking to sponsor a rally car, I am in need of a few :)

Thanks again,

Gabe vonAhlefeld

I don't see why not.. or you could dremel out a notch in one of the support beans and hook it that way with the stock bar.

not to derail too much but how much do those hoods weigh? we are building a rallycross '90 in minnesota and would love to shed some weight up there.

greg, how about gutting a regular steel hood of all the supports? sure it would be floppy and you would have to run hood pins but it would be worth a try on a rallycross car as you could save a good 30lbs.
