Hey, got the line on a GC8 hood scoop - anyone looking got on their car? How hard to install with using something gettto like a rivet gun?...

Point me in the direction of some photos. BTW, I swear this hood scoop is off an RS? No lie, that's a WRX scoop?

ivan if your looking. try truning the lip right side up and see how it looks.

Jason I tried it right side up and thought it looked funny, because the opening on the lip was narrower than the opening of the "mouth" in the stock bumper. It seems there were fitting issues that way somehow, but I don't remember just exactly what now.
Adam West: It does look more like an RS scoop because of the single vertical pillar in the center. WRX ones have three. I got this scoop damaged - part of which was one of the side pillars was broken. I thought it would be easier to cut off the other side on rather than fabricate a replacement.
I cut off the tabs that mount wrx scoop to the wrx hood except for the front and center one. That one lined up with the center hole of the paper cut legacy scoop mount. I drilled two holes in the flat piece of the wrx scoop (that sits on the hood in the front) in line with two other holes used to mount the legacy scoop. I also used two screws that are in the rear corners of the wrx scoop that lined up with the portion of the factory cut out that weren't on the actual hood. I drilled holes in that part of the hood and used the screws from the wrx scoop. I stuck the rest of it down with automotive double stick tape like is used for side mouldings.
I then got some flashing material that I shaped to fit up against the upper rear portion of the wrx scoop leading edge. I then bent it to direct flow to the saab intercooler. (After being at the COBB open house Saturday, I think I will revamp this piece to allow less air to flow around instead of through the intercooler.
In retrospect, as far as mounting the scoop is concerned, I would have cut a hole in the hood and used the factory wrx mounts. I just have a little difficulty cutting something that isn't broken if I am not sure how the mod will work. It would be easier to direct the airflow without the mounting area for the rear of the stock scoop in the way.
