I have some male axles from a WRX sedan, but they are too long.

Check out my thread about swapping in an '06 WRX tranny. I have the part numbers listed for the axle stubs so you can use the stock Legacy axles with that style tranny. I just did it in mine, so I know it works.

ah, good to know. I'll look for the thread. That would have sucked if I had bought '05 WRX axles only to have them not fit. So I know, I've got some early WRX female-ended axles, would those work with the adapters?

I did a drivetrain swap from an 05 WRX wagon into my 91SS. Slave cyl. bolted up for me.
