I've read two posts within the past year where two drivers died because they each had a rollbar installed in their street cars. Both accidents were low-speed, minor accidents with minimal damage done to their cars. One was turning into a parking lot and the other was a low-speed incident too. Right now I've got such a headache so I don't even know where I read those articles and I'm not about to search for them even though I want to.

But my point is this: to be safe, you may want to consider wearing a helmet every time you drive your car on the street if you get that rollbar installed. And any passenger that rides in that car should wear one too. You can get killed in an accident at 20 mph if you don't have a helmet on and your head contacts the rollbar.

Be safe, we all want you alive.

After thinking about getting a rollcage, I decided against it. It just adds a lot of un-useful weight to the car. I rather have my car go faster so I had fun ordering stuff for my car LOL I have some Venom Super Sport Fuel Injectors, Venom 255lph fuel pump and a Fram Racing Hi Flow fuel filter on the way. I just wanna see how it will work the first 500 miles then take it out if it dont work for my setup. But I did install a few more goodies on my car and I will get pics on here tomorrow cause stupid Photobucket is doing maintainence.

It won't run right with bigger injectors unless you do some engine management modifications...basically, it will just run pig rich, get 8 mpg, and actually have less power...

And...

I hope you are gonna intercool it before more boost ?!?!?

this is a head on hit to a poll doing 80 mph, i was street racing when i lossed control of the car. it did a 360 degree arial before she hit the ground again. my doors still opened and she even tryed to start.
i even went to my auto class right after the reck, i made fun of but i was ok just, distrot and pissed off.

and i my self agree with 93Leg-c.

You seem proud that you crashed while street racing...to me that just shows immaturity...

I wouldn't brag about something like that...since it basically proves that you are a crappy driver...and don't have too much goin' on upstairs...

I wouldn't bash him too much. I'm sure he's learned enough with what happened. It's a good reminder for all of us of what can happen. We're not all gifted with 100% foresight. Good to know these things won't crumble like Festivas.

I will say this though - I'm glad he didn't kill anyone. As long as everyone walked away, take the lesson and move on.

What kind of poll exactly? I mean, I don't think it could have been a street light poll or a telephone poll was it?

And how did you lose control?

it was a street light poll thats bolted to a cement stump, old school design.

it was a really hot day, and it had studded snow tires on when i bought it. that same day i was going to buy and mount some normal tires on there before i got in the reck. finally had the money to change them.

the supention was pretty jellowy, almost like a cadilac.

Wow last time I looked at this thread it had like 7 posts now it has like 40 umpting posts. Well, I've had some problems with the car lately but found it to be a clogged fuel filter and a clogged air filter. So remember kids, regular maintainance will keep your car running right. LOL Found out also I have a leak from that coolant rail underneath the intake mani is leaking from the gaskets so it looks like I will be taking things apart soon. I was thinking about selling it as-is for $1700 but Im not sure if I want to keep it cause people in my area dont have much interest in an older Subaru. Most of the people around here like the STIs, EVOs or the ever popular Civic. I've only seen like 2 STIs in town and 1 EVO and like a big bunch of Civics and Integs. Bleh. The nearest Subaru dealer is in Eugene. So prolly explains why people dont like them much here especially when this town is a big 4x4 town when there is alot of duneage. LOL

Well here is what my car looks like now after some work. I think it came out alright. I recently changed the inner set of headlights to a blue lens fog/driving light and the outer lights are a blue halo at night. I looks kinda like a BMW! LOL. Anyways, I had to modify the casing and add new brackets and such. But it worked out beautifully! I will get new pics of the blue lens fogs and the halos if it doesnt get too dark. LOL.

redlineracer wrote:Why dont you use these instead they're pretty damn close and I have a pair of these headlights I'm fabbing to fit my car. Its off a 97-01 Impreza. They come with all the relays, bulbs, fuses, wiring, etc. They also have the optional halos on there you can wire up. And its half the price of the Hellas. This is an H4 setup. They are called Corozon IT-01. Tell me what you think.
On a different note, your headlights look "mean." In the above referenced post you indicated you were going to modify your lights and you succeeded. Can you post more details (or maybe start another one) as to what and how you did it, and ALSO, let us know how those lights work?

BTW, just my opinion, but if you black out the chrome strips on the grille, I think it will give your Leg a more aggressive look.

Yeah, I kind of like that look on the headlights but they're for a different car I think...looks like they kinda sorta fit...

Like the silver on red graphics - nice effort! Keep going...

Needs to be lower to get rid of fender gap.

Cheers! Way to go!

Yeah the headlights are from a 93-97 Impreza not 97-01. It fits quite snug with the Legacy grill....I got the corners for the headlights but you can forget about trying to fit those onto our cars unless you get some Impreza fenders then they would be a perfect fit. :D

Yeah, those lights don't look bad for ... are they Impreza? They don't for much worse than the stock units I modified for the Hella 90mms as they didn't line up quite right either. You could probably get them to fit with a little plastic or glass work, too and they'd turn out better than mine. Looks like a better solution. How's the aim? I could almost but not quite get the low beams low enough for the right height before I got sick of messing with it.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
