Methods of expansion have changed. Just because they aren't claiming land to be theirs, it doesnt mean they arent still attempting to gain control of it.
The war in Iraq is a prime example of that.

When Saddam's execution is no longer on the front pages, perhaps liberals will turn their focus to capital punishment for such crimes as adultery(well only for women), stealing, heresy and blasphemy.

I prefer to stay as cynical as possible. What the point in griping over something you have no control over.
I can guarantee not one person on this message board really knows politics and all that other crap like you might think you do. There are way to many lies, to much corruption, censorship and what have you that keep the truth unseen.
I'd rather just ignore it and uphold the values I think are right.

Apathy is always a good choice...
Speak for yourself on your knowledge of politics. I keep pretty well informed all of the time.
