knock sensor is apparently cracked......

They all crack eventually through age (probably heat cycling). I never got a knock code, just a melted valve eventually. Car had a lot of balls for an N/A before that happened, though, so I think mine never defaulted to safe mode.

Please look in the stuff you need to know forum. There's at least two threads that could provide you the info you need, not to mention I'm sure it's posted several other places.

.... my sensor is black so is it the non revised sensor ?

All the sensors are black. It's the color of the electrical connector. The new sensor has a white connector. The old sensor has a gray connector.

Here's a pic of the newer white colored connector
