$3800 for a car you can't drive?
I would hope you'd at least swap the RHD stuff!
What does the RS-RA have that your car doesn't already have? That's a lotta bling just for a motor. Trans and diff aren't special, interior isn't THAT special, a few body panels here and there, and RHD?
I must not know that much about the RS-RA. What makes it worth that much?

He's Canadian we can drive it up here at that age.
3800$ is a little rediculous, but if it's 100% rust free that's worth 3000$ in shipping north of the border alone.. kinda..
To me the absolute rarity of it is what would draw me to spending that amount.
There was just recently a 91 GT wagon FS in British Columbia, RHD 20,000kms, no rust, and the price tag on that was ~8000$ I don't know if that's worth the price but it's not for sale anymore...

I guess you havent been following my build, but I already have 1 RS-RA engine
Factory forged bottom end, HUGE factory port and polished heads and manifold, revs to 8000 due to factory dynamic balancing, high lift high duration cams....
Its STI's first engine

Doesnt really matter...
3 grand is average going price for a regular SS around here... for one with DOHC heads, a bunch of JDM goodies and all that jazz, its well worth it for me.

But $3800 for a motor? $3800 could build a hell of a motor out of an EJ22T.
I guess I could see the appeal. The RS-RA's were all pre-facelift though, right?
Bummer.

Its not for a motor, its for the whole car... We can drive them in Canada, pretty much straight off the boat. Almost 0 red tape.
I have to swap the headlights for USDM ones (easy) and do a provincial inspection (lights work, no cracks in glass, etc)
Thats about it.
And no, there are pre and post RS-RAs

Hmm, I wish it were that easy to drive one here. A post facelift RS-RA would be nice, if it had really low miles. I don't think I'm ever going to buy another used car with as many miles as all of the Subaru's I've bought.
