Replace those bushings or get an STi short shifter assembly, which has all new everything.

Which bushing did you replace, the front one (it's the round one)? I suggest replacing the rear bushing as well. I don't think you're ever going to get the shifter to be 100% solid, cause there will always be a little flex, but every little change will be an improvement.

But yah, if you haven't already- get a new rear shift bushing.

yea i changed the round ones. i can put the car in first and move the shifter all the way to the passenger side lol
