Replace those bushings or get an STi short shifter assembly, which has all new everything.
Which bushing did you replace, the front one (it's the round one)? I suggest replacing the rear bushing as well. I don't think you're ever going to get the shifter to be 100% solid, cause there will always be a little flex, but every little change will be an improvement.wildacex187 wrote:ok so i did the bushing and the spring. it helped one cuz i didnt even have a spring there lol. anyway its a lot better BUT i still have a slight prob. when the car is in gear i can still move the shifter from side to side. how can i stop it from moving from side to side while in gear?
But yah, if you haven't already- get a new rear shift bushing.
