Yes. StiPro can tell you that you don't have to be CRUDE about putting an '05 and older in. BUT, he still had to cut the throttle body and that is a scary prospect for some people. Like me.

BTW The coolant tank doesn't need to be moved, it just needs to be SHOVED out of the way. I just kinda made my 06 IC and my coolant tank be really good friends. And for the BOV, I would recommending running the stock BPV any way you can. I went aftermarket with a perrin recirc one, and I regret every cent of it, it made my car run like poo.

I was wondering about just squishing them. The clearance looked REALLY close....

Ya I am going to run stock BPV. Just need a flange to run a hose....

In some other thread mentioned about the stock WRX BPV would pump into the igniter so it had to be relocated. Other suggests a HKS SSQ BOV to avoid relocation.

But I have an auto SS. which would be the best for that?

Its the intercooler itsself that bumps into the igniter, so yes it has to be moved. The wrx bpv hits the throttlebody where the cruise control cable is.

BTW, did you get ahold of the person who claimed the I/C you purchased was an '06 model I/C? If so, did they refund any cash back to you for the incorrect part listing?

I've contact the person and yeah...we "chatted" for a while but no happy news. he won't give in and I understand that... If i sold a private used part I wouldn't take refund as well. the Intercooler is in good condition so I guess I'll try selling it for the same price.
