Well i've come to relize legacy owners are much cooler then wrx/impre/sti owners.
in ct there have been like 12 wrx/sti crashes in the past two months..WHY? cuz all thes dumbasses think there the alpha dogs
its not uncommon for me to get ricer fly-bys revs at reds ect. Yeah its a turbo scubby no i don't want to race. a few months back i was driving my buddy's b13 se-r some drip in a civic pulls up paces me for a mile we get to a light he bounces the limiter like a dozen times... i didn't even turn my head to look at him..
what he didn't see was the cop on the street to the right of me!! light turned green he dropped the clutch let out a little one tire fire.. and quickly got pulled over hahaha...
now the best part...The idiot had 2 lbs. of weed in the car!!!!!!! i saw this in the paper the next day and was like hey thats the kid who tried to get me to race... hahaha how stupid can you get? what was he thinking anyway a rat civic with a body kit v. se-r with coils, cams and 7600rpm haha i would have dusted him Bad!

Today I saw a battle of coupe titans. A crappy Prelude with 18s and a fart can revs like an idiot at a Hyundai Accent. The light turns green, Accent "takes off" leaving the Prelude in his trailing smoke.
The max possible distance they had was to another very close light, which had a bunch of cars waiting already.

Both morons of course, but it was still funny to see a Honda that thought he was fast get beat by a Hyundai.

are you kidding? Those lil hyundai's are a little more zippy than we give 'em credit for. They may not have any balls, but they have some decent acceleration. They're a new car with a pretty decent engine with new technology running it. Going up against any other car, it has the electronical advantage, despite its lacking in performance characteristics.

This is what I love about this forum.
I started this rant to post about some idiot and it has made a go round with several tangents.

And no one got mad at anything that was said.

evolutionmovement wrote:That's funny - I was thinking of a comedy where illegal Mexicans are dropped off in a remote area of Eastern Europe. Except I don't write comedy because I'm not that funny.
You have no idea how much we ( at work) want to do that. And we think it's funny.

Yup, Legacy owners tend to be more open minded than most other car owners. Just in my general experience...

I don't know, AFAICT, all the posts/jokes about Drew's job have been from white guys, who naturally think deportation to be hilarious cuz it would never happen to him, ja?

I would love to hear from a "minority" other than a whitey.

Funny is funny. Lighten up, Francis.

BTW, the Afro-Americans and Hispanics I know make more jokes about Mexicans than anyone, even when I jokingly tell them they're all the same. If you can't laugh at it, what else can you do? It's why we evolved laughter. A hundred years ago and Mexican would have been replaced by Irish. A hundred years from now ... well, people will probably be rushing to leave. Where? I don't know, but I'm buying property in Greenland.

No no no, it's Iceland that's green and Greenland that's icy. Never understood that, but that's how it is... So you'll want property in Iceland.

Early English is what they were speaking when "Iceland" was first settled.

Icelanders are still speaking it.

Then "island" was pronounced with "s" as in eesland.

How it is now pronounced is a variation on eesland.

Had a friend at university who was doing a masters in early English and he had a part time job teaching modern English to Icelanders who migrated to Vancouver.

Greenland will be green again, though Iceland plans on being the first Zero Carbon economy. Main thing is, with rising seas and a lack of money, buying my own island is a little outside what I can do (though plenty South East US property will qualify soon enough), but Greenland only has 56k people there. Being a big place, I figure I can avoid people pretty well. They also get aid from Denmark, being formerly under control, so that may mean free health care. Canada might be a good buy as well, and less a risk. I'd move to Scandanavia altogether, but moving permanently to other countries can be difficult without guaranteed work bringing you there. We're the only stupid country that lets everyone in (except cute Cambodian girls, but that's another story). Our population would gratefully be in decline were it not for immigration. Which leads back to the origin of the thread - more people means more idiots and nearly all of them are allowed to drive.

Im sure somewhere out there is a baby who's first word was 'welfare' because it was the only english word mommy could teach them.
I think it's fucking fantastic that our country loves to handout money and grants and every imaginable assistance to immigrants, but neglects its natural citizens who are in greater need.

Don't assume many of our nation's immigrants step foot on our soil with empty pockets and big dreams of freedom, sex and hair gel.

Tell me about it - my sister couldn't finish school to be a doctor and can't work because she can't afford child care and there's no assistance. No problem getting any of you're a career loser or someone with low potential under best circumstances. I couldn't finish school either, but I have other avenues. Most don't. There was a time when I would've died for this country, but now I hate it more every day. It makes no sense to support losers or helmet kids who will never pay anything back while neglecting those that could not only pay much more back in taxes with the better careers they could have, but lift this nation as well. The US is little more than a name and I don't see it being much more than a third-world nation with a competitve military easily by the end of the century and they deserve it. When the middle class is gone that's all that's left. In Cairo, people live in slum apartment buildings with chickens and shit on their balconies while the end of the street has a Rolls-Royce/Porsche dealership. I don't see that being too far away, and we have an ever-neglected enormous infrastructure that's just waiting to snow ball into uselessness. I wish I had had the money to invest in Euros when they came out. The dollar's worth shit, but the Fed cut the rate! Nobody knows WTF they're doing. The informal monarchy that's installed itself at the head has inbred itself into near protoplasm levels of stupidity and all the people care about is what stupid shit Britney Spears has done this week. And it's probably the same shit they do. I look around everywhere and I feel like a zoo vistor looking into the monkey house.

Idiocracy was the scariest horror movie I've ever seen. I don't think it will take nearly 500 years to get there.

Man you use a lot of big words. Hard for us redneck Pennsylvanians to read. Off to go cow tippin' or something very cliche to being in rural PA...

I missed the part where I criticized rural communities. Unless you're implying that people from rural communities fit into the monkey profile, in which case that would be your own bias. My observations are from everywhere I've been, but I see it all around my afluent, educated metro area as clear as anywhere else. The only difference is the size of the monkey cage. Not everyone's a monkey, but the zoo has few visitors.

Its the same everywhere. Our own system of (supposed) equality will be our downfall.

The smart ones are getting out while there's still time, I'm sure.
