I was born and raised in Oregon and still consider myself an Oregonian even though I've been out east for 11 years. The PNW is awesome but it's a very expensive place to live. The rain isn't as bad as people lead on but it can be a bit depressing in the winter......so that's when you relocate to Bend and ski every day, then the depression just seems to evaporate like the pacific storms after they clear the Cascades.

If you're not looking for big cities, Idaho has a lot to offer. I've only been here for 11 months but having come from southwest Virginia. Simply put, I love it out here. If you're into outdoors and open space, there's plenty to go around. Land's gotten pretty expensive but the summers and winters are pretty nice.
