I'm gonna go out on a limb here...
What do you have to do to get USDM 2.0L WRX heads to mate to a 22t block in a legacy... I mean wiring wise...

Essentially you would have to convert to WRX wiring or go full standalone.
I believe Doug has played with adapting the older cam sprockets to the newer heads. Don't remember the outcome.
It's widely stated that almost any other widely available DOHC head out flows the USDM WRX heads.

Which DOHC setups bolt on and wire up... fairly easily?

We just went over it in another of your threads, or at least a thread you participated in.
EJ20g (Legacy or WRX also called V1 and V2)
Ej20k (WRX, also called V3 and V4)
EJ20h (Legacy twin turbo)
Ej20r (Legacy twin turbo)
And USDM phase1 Ej25 DOHC heads all will work with the stock engine management.
The easiest choice for intake manifold for any of the above heads is an Ej20g. Mainly because the TPS and IAC are compatable with the Ej22t ECU.

So just to clarify this the use of USDM WRX heads. If I get them, then I will need to also have to use WRX wiring to get it to run right.

You will need...
heads
intake manifold
timing belt cover
depending upon the year... pedal assembly and throttle body...
The later year USDMs are drive by wire... So that will be a bitch
wiring harness... the ej22t one wont work... which means that you also need the ECU... then blend the wiring into the legacy stuff... Like tach and stuff like that.
It will be a bitch, BUT you could just pull a dash out of a rex and use that!

If I need heads, the harness and ECU and pedals and stuff like that I might as well go with a complete WRX swap.
well time to either look for ej25 heads or do a valve job on the EJ22T and call it done.

OR,
you can buy livestrong14's EJ20G motor for $400 find a DOHC intake manifold & slap the motor on your car complete.....
No wiring, no DBW pedal assembly......

can anyone verify what kind of intake manifold I have? I posted pics up in this thread I believe, but due to the fact that I am at work, I cant see the pics lol.
I am about 75 percent sure I have ej20r heads, but I am unsure about my intake manifold. what intake manifolds work with the factory legacy ecu?
and does anyone have a 20g intake manifold for sale if mine isnt 20g?

there are pics of the intake manifold in this thread.
sorry.
I just need to know what intake manifold I have, nobody is certain and if its not 20g I will start looking for one because from what I understand they are the most plug and play friendly.

looks like Legacy (not WRX) EJ20G to me.
Here is my current swap, JDM EJ20G, looks just like it.
I also have this manifold I'm going to use on my 2.35 stroker, I know is a EJ20?, maybe K or H. Note it has extra mounting bosses around the plenum. I'm hoping to use them to mount my coil pack.
BTW, the heads you show in the other thread look like '96 EJ25 DOHC heads with the hydraulic buckets. But the JDM H, K or R heads might look the same. Check my post in this thread for a little more info.
