This is what I am talking about on the gc8 mirror change. Since I re-used my original housings on my SS I don't have a pic. If someone has a pass housing they can post that would be great.

These are the two different styles of mirrors between the Impreza.

The internals of the mirror (mirror adjustment motors and folding motor) will fit into my stock Legacy housing and function when wired up?

Possibly. I was hoping someone has the inside of an SS housing they could take a pic of and post so we can see

Yes I think those mirrors should be of the same shape. I couldn't tell you about the guts and I do know the mirror switch is different between the Impreza and Legacy.

The switches are a different size/shape?

Out of all the pictures I have, I don't have a good picture of the mirror control buttons.

However, Google to the rescue.

Yup. I have a set of the folding mirrors with switch. The switch from a GC won't work.
