$600 is definitely fishy and if he is legit and thinks that's reasonable, then he's an idiot. $50 as a deposit, maybe, if he has other interested parties (which, it appears, he didn't) calling as well. Damage or no, it is completely reasonable, expected even, that someone would look at a used engine before dropping money. Would someone be expected to pay for half a used car before looking at it? Sorry, but tough shit - you have to work to show what you're selling. Few things sell without effort on the part of the seller. Pussy. But just because he IS one doesn't mean he has it to sell.

I was thinking of adding something even though I haven't bought anything from Blackbart. Then I decided not to after I saw all of the polite reaming that was given to the guy (LOL at the FAIL GOAT). Blackbart is so committed to providing superb service that he was willing to split up a set of brake calipers for me (even though i didn't need him to). So big ups to Frank for doing something that might have not been the best for him.
