When you are in the Pacific North West we can get together for a "ride" and a jar or two. :-D

The plan is to build this vehicle out of an old Cessna 152 and drive it across country. As I'll be heading to Washington, I might as well hit Vancouver. I hope I can get the suspension sorted so that it rides nice as I want it to be a comfortable daily driver, but it will be tough where anything unspring is so much higher a percentage of the total weight as well as allowing for the additional weight of a passenger without bottoming out. I'm exploring several options. The good thing is that the cockpit of a 152 is cramped so only small chicks can realistically fit (the few that would dare ride in it), making the weight change for the suspension a little more manageable.

Don't hold your breath for any of this. I also have several more books to get out, a damn house to maintain, and lots of head scratching to build this thing. I hope to get a fuselage this summer. I'm also hoping that having a junk airplane in the yard will look much less white trash than a junk car.

I was on Fort Vancouver Way (the road Clark College is on for any locals) and its a fairly long, two lane rd. Well the speedlimits 25, BUT everybody does 40 on it.

I was sitting at the stoplight and a CRX pulls up (it was also reeeallly wet) and it had been rattlecanned lime green... YUK...

And it had an FMIC... But it wasnt hooked up (litterally LOL)

So... I glance at him, more than anything just looking at the glory that is rice, and he starts to rev his engine (can you say fart can?)...

Well, I bit... Light turned green, I launched, he spun... and spun, and spun, and caught!

But I had already taken off so he had not a chance of catching me...

Ahh, the beauty thats AWD! Just dont count on it to stop you. ;)

I was able to keep up with a supercharged s2000 at Thunderhill raceway during a NASA HPDE eveng here in Northern California. But I think that was more of a driver skill difference because that thing should have spanked me.

It is honestly about 90% driver unless you are on a course with super mile- long straightaways.

I caught up with a C4 Z06 (405hp much?) with exhaust and spanked him at BeaveRun (among many many other cars). Shame on the driver, not the car. The car is definitely faster than a 160hp early 90's family sedan...
