a 96 legacy wagon?

that would indicate that you can use an impreza bar on those...

I just picked up a Tribeca front sway bar the other day and was suprised at how much bigger it is than the stock one. I wondered what size the rear is on the Tribeca. I won't have the bump in the rear on the spare tire carrier as I'm cutting it out anyway to fit a fuel cell.

How about a '10 Forest front? Guy I know just put a Tribeca's on the Forester wonder if his old would fit.

I ask because the Tribeca is grayed out so I take it means something.

10 forester won't work. it's the same as an 08+ impreza or 05+ legacy which are a bit different

I was bored and made an update. I think I even learned a few things by reading it again.

What WRX FSB and RSB fit a 93 legacy ss?

I see that 93 legacy L has no sway bar, can it be fitted with one though?

Yeah its a direct bolt on. Best bet is to find a 93-01 Impreza or 92-94 Legacy in the junkyard. Other years should work too, but those are exact matches.

so would i different year (past the 92-94) fit too?

also, should i keep the drop links or go to c-links? and i know ill have to take the lateral links of whatever i take them from, so should i take the end links that com with it too?

and should i keep the rear the same size as the front? i know i the front is 16mm, so should i stay with a 16mm also, or go up to 17/18mm?

Here's what I did: I put on outback (1996-1999) front and rear sway bars on my non-turbo. I already had a rear swaybar so I didn't get the extra bits. Without looking at the list, I want to say the sizes are 19/18mm Front and rear. The car feels much sharper on turn in. I did them both at the same time so I can't tell you how much just a rear added.

According to Legacy777, the drop link and c-style aren't necessarily better than the other, just different. Subaru went to c-style links after 1991, so I guess finding parts would be easier. The sway bars themselves will work with either style.

My advice is to use what you can find easily, either drop link or c-link. If the donor has a 16mm or 18mm rear, use that and see how you like it, upgrading as necessary in the future.

Also, what tools would I need to take it all apart? i heard that a 10, 12, and 14 mm socket and wrench set would work, along with some Pb blast/ WD-40, etc.

The biggest challenge will be removing the long bolt that goes through the lower part of the spindle that holds the lateral links on. Additionally, the bolt that secures the lateral link to the subframe can be a bit challenging. Make sure to hit them with pb blaster a day or two again the night before you plan to work on it.

Well so I went to the junkyard today, and I only managed to get the sway bar and the mounts. The lateral links and spindle bolts were too much for hand tools. And I could only be able to pb blaster it the day I go. So what tools should I bring? My buddy was talking about an air ratchet, but there isn't power to be used and place near to it. Should I try the air tools, or just cut the bolts and get new bushings and bolts?

Half inch drive sockets and a breaker bar. Also some long 19 and 17mm wrenches.

An electric impact wrench would also be good to have. A big breaker bar and maybe a cheater bar to slide over that would probably help too.

What electric impact wrench would you recommend? And btw, I'll probably need a generator if I'm going to the junkyard.

so, i going to the yard this Saturday, and just using hand tools and a butt-ton of Kano Kroil oil, should be able to get the bolts off. wish me luck!

They make battery powered impact guns. But with breaker bar/pipe, and some swearing, you can typically remove anything by hand.

Just want to update, I got everything off. Only one frozen endlink bolt, but I was going to replace them anyways.
