Apologies for resurrecting an older thread but ive done exactly the same thing...except i have a turbo.
Am currently doing some researc to use the blower motor speed switch to control the AWIC pump.
But yea i just had to say ROCK ON! No interior would suck for daily driving.

i really dont mind the bare interior at all. if anything, i like the fact that theres nothing hidden from sight

you could easily lose 50lbs if you pulled the entire dash out, methinks.
that's a lot of plastic and vinyl. there's also a lot of metal pieces in there and whereabouts.
it's what I plan to do, but then again my wagon will be race day only as soon as I can afford to buy another car.
about the only thing I'll keep is the windshield wipers.
you don't think rallycars have A/C do you? they run in the rain too, and the snow. it's about keeping the air temp/humidity the same inside and outside of the car to keep the windows from fogging up. it requires a large source of outside air too.
