Using fuel line (unused) works as a good starter when you put the new ones on so you don't cross the threads. I've done that on my GT and anything else I work on.

Getting 'em started isn't too bad, it's getting in there to remove them since space is limited. If Subaru had just made an indentation or access hole on the frame to make it easier to get a wrench & extentions would have been nice.
As soon as I get the rest of the exterior work on the turbo Leggy finished, I'll be using your old DIN gauge pod to mount the gauges in place.
