looks good... why did you choose the mesh with the biger holes? i would have thought you might want to at least go one size smaller.

The way I see it, there's two principles at work with a catch can. The first is that you go from a fixed/small volume (hose) to a much larger volume in the tank. When this happens, oil & water vapor tends to fall out.
The other is the velocity of the oil & water vapor. With the larger volume in the tank, the oil & water vapor will move slower, and have more time to collect on the surfaces in the tank. If I were to put in mesh with smaller holes, the velocity may have been higher, plus it may have provided more restriction.
The thing you've got to consider is this is mostly all theory. Will it actually be applicable to this situation....I don't know. It's kind of a guess work.
The other reason I used that mesh is that it provided better structural support to bend and keep it in place.
