Called the police department before they closed and told them the short version of the story and they said it's a civil matter and that it would need to be taken to small claims court.

So I'm off tomorrow and the next day and sometime during those two days I will bring everything to the court and schedule a court date.

Just sent Dave a text informing him of this. He doesn't seem to do well with phone calls. Doesn't care to call me back. Doesn't care to answer either.

I would guess he's a guy who's used to ending up in court for these kinds of things. Thing is, they can order him to give you the money back, but won't actually do anything about it when he doesn't.

This is why hitting people with bats should be allowed, but we live in a pansy society. They won't help the victim, but as the victim, if you help yourself, they'll arrest you and protect the criminal. Truly an awesome system.

Dave texted me back finally and he says he will give me half my money on saturday.

We'll see. This is the second time he's told me he would give me some of my money. The last time he said that was the last time I heard from him in weeks.

I see so many of these kick your arse threads posted by people who have trouble tearing tissue paper. Not only that but the big mouths that post just to post and have absolutely nothing to do with the issue or thread. I do know Dave. I have known him for years. He does seem to have a few problems in life. But, that is not my business.

E-thuggin has become a bigger issue than our "pussy" society. The whole entitlement ideal of today is mind-boggling.

kimokalihi, I understand your position and it sounds like you have gone through all the right channels. I would continue to attempt to retrieve your money. But, I would remove myself from this thread. Most of the comments lately would and can be construed as threats. (bat's to faces and such)

Threats to people lacking reading comprehension skills. No one's saying they'd hit this guy, just that thieves SHOULD be hit, like child molesters SHOULD be shot, though they're not. Nobody's actually going around killing them because we still recognize the advantages of society vs. anarchy. My advice to him was to involve the police.

And some people post here because they enjoy interacting with some of the others on this board, not just because they want to know how big a wheel they can fit on their car. I'm sure everything you do with your time is far more compelling and fulfilling than the rest of us.

Not really, but whatever. I really like interacting with pretty much all of the members of this board, and I don't have any personal issues with anyone here. I just think "e-thuggery" is funny. So sue me.

My time is not really the issue. My problem with the whole thing was that you get kids sitting behind the 'puter talking like prize fighters.

Is BS. Even you said that I'm not the only one. (And I never meant to imply that I'm the only person who did. I said I'm the one who did. Not that I'm the ONLY one who did. But Dave told me that he'll txt him and 5 minutes later he did.) So not all of us are here to post whore. We actually want things taken care of like they should.

My point is that there is no need to be a dick to those who are here trying to help. No I dont want a pat on the back, I just hope it all works out well and since I know Dave I figured I should lend a hand in getting ahold of him.

Perfect, someone finally gets it. I was wondering how long it would take. People get so uptight. This is a serious matter. And it looks like Kimo is dealing with it properly. But it needed a little off topic to get things settled down a bit. My post count is so low that even if I do post whore no one would notice.

I think Qman is the most guilty of e-thugging and is the one who has the inferiority complex.

Get back on the topic of kimokalihi getting his money back or the thread gets locked.

I have been completely straight forward on all the details of this issue and only intended for this thread to inform everyone else that it's not a good idea to buy from Dave because he's lied to me and he either lost my money to child support like he says or he's spent it. Nobody knows as of now.

I don't believe I've threatened him in this thread or any other way.

I will update this weekend on whether he does actually pay me or comes up with another excuse.

August 9th - Dave met with me and paid me my money back in full. Took 4 months but he did pay me back. I'm glad it didn't have to go to court, that would have been a pain in the ass.

Dave does seem like a nice guy in person, I'm not sure what exactly was going on with him this whole time but it's over with now.
