Swapped the wires at the ECU pins. Verified no codes on the ECU I just swapped in as a spare. Code 44, duty solenoid. But I'm running wastegate boost so it shouldn't matter.
All the code clearing methods say to drive the car for a period of time, which I obviously can't. Wasn't able to clear them at all, without the ECU sitting for awhile.

I'd recommend downloading the 1992 Engine & Electrical factory manual from my site.
http://www.main.experiencetherave.com/s ... ual_scans/
That will have the resistive values for the various sensor.
Secondly, here's what I'd suggest you do to troubleshoot your problems. I'd recommend using Vikash's scan tool to look at the sensor values with the key on and engine not running. This "should" help eliminate things like your wiring (did I wire the MAP sensor correct, etc)
http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=16219
This may also lead you in another direction.
Lastly, if you haven't, I'd highly recommend testing all your engine wiring. Use an ohm meter, and test all the connections from the various engine sensors back to the appropriate ECU connector. Verify that you have 0 ohms or close to it on all your wiring.

Thanks Josh.
Have recently found and downloaded the FSM, awesome resource to have available, kudos.
Had been looking into the different scan tools, thanks for the tip, vikash's sounds like the easiest way to check out what's going on. Guess ill be heading to radiosnatch to rig up a cable for my tablet pc.
I have tested some continuity,, but do you have any tips on how to do this the easiest? You would have one end of the multi hookd sensor side, and the other at the ecu, so you just rig up some long wires to stretch the distance??
Been sick all week, going to throw headers, turbo, exhaust back on now that that cam support is sealed, and hopefully get er going this weekend.

The leads on my multimeter are long enough where I just use a small section of 22 gauge solid core wire to plug into the ECU connector and sensor connector. (ECU connector & sensor connector have to be disconnected obviously)
Then I just use the alligator clips attached to the test leads and clamp onto the 22 gauge wire. That seems to work the best and keeps you from needing two people.

Update:
Took it all apart to check for intake/vacuum leaks, which is what a mechanic friend and I narrowed in on after poking around a couple weekends ago. Used an air compressor and about 10psi to check, found a couple leaks, one in the bov and another smaller leak at the throttlebody. Replaced a few clamps on the pressured side of the turbo, put it all back together.....
...started up today, couple weeks since I ran the car, idle was much smoother than before, idled too low and died, restarted the car. was running smooth for about 30 seconds, definitely smoother than before I went leak hunting. When I went to give it some throttle, engine stumbled a little, then blew a hard puff of smoke with a bang out of what appeared to be the blowoff valve (couldn't find any blown hoses or anything) and died.
started it back up and it starts with a bad screeching noise and dies right away. what... the... fuck... I don't deserve this kind of luck.
I'm about to sell / give away / roll this car off a cliff and ride my fucking bike to work. I don't have much experience with horrible subaru noises, but I can't imagine it's a happy one. Ring, bearing? turbo? and why, what did i do? I just put it back together for crying out loud.
Excuse my language please, I'm about to have an anuerism, because all I can think of are worst case scenarios and then I'm out a lot of time and money.

in life, things that are really hard to accomplish feel amazing when your finished.
keep the hard work up, it'll go for you!

gotta be the turbo right? makes sense... just don't know how it would have built up that much pressure to blow out and mess it up. went out for a few drinks, regained some posi attitude, thanks!
