i see....
that's kind of what I was thinking about cutting it small then grinding it out to the
perfect fit, but then so I would be plastic welding it? I'm confused though how
do you weld plastic to metal? haha I need to talk to someone whos done this...
I msgd mikeymiyagi a while ago but he hasn't msgd back yet...

No welding unless you cut out the area area the scoop off another hood and weld that in to your hood. If you cut a hole out to perfectly fit the outside of the scoop you can then flush mount it and run bolts through the hood to attach it. It will have a very small gap around the outside which is fine unless you're picky. I've seen it done with good results. You just have to cut it out really well.

i seee.. I think I am just going to do the full metal cut out and weld it so then it will be super flush to my liking with a repaint, sturdy and won't crack or anything and I will easily be able to swap out some hood scoops to try with the correct fittings...
