You can rotate that vacuum nipple on the compressor outlet. Takes a vise or a manly grip, but it can be done.

Let us know how it works when you get it all together.

Initial results aren't good....
- Can't boost over 10 and psi (should be 16+) and is down on power.
- The car isn't running right after I get into boost - stumbles/runs rough for a few moments after hitting even small amount of boost.
- Looking @ the back of 'cobra head' - it's now indented, and even w/no load - just revving- it gets sucked in a bit.

NOTE: I'm NOT 100% sure I have the 'exact' elbow listed on the LINK in the 1st post of this thread, as that is sold as "...strong, collapse-resistant solution for tight spaces."

I'm going to get some pics/vids of the elbow under boost...just not sure HOW.. :?

I put my ol' $5 'pull-n-save' elbow back on and and I'm back up to 16+psi and pulling hard.

When I pulled the Cobra elbow off, the back was more indented than when I installed it. I couldn't push it all the way in, but I could see where it would partially collapse, restricting flow. I didn't get any pics/vids of it collapsing under boost. :-(

Anybody want a cheap elbow? :-)

omg it didn't work??? I am still confused as to why not :S i guess air can not flow like that? Either way they sell it for this purpose which makes no sense if it won't work!

The elbow's cobra head collapses under pressure. It's simply not hard/firm/strong enough to resist the pressure on it. It makes sense as all OEM options are hard plastic, etc.

It doesn't make sense why they make a product and it won't work :( now i feel like a asshole for suggesting the product.

Get over yourself..... :D You were passing along info you thought was legit. We're all (mostly) adults here and know to do our own research, too.

I'm sure you've contributed a lot to this site. :-)

Did you check w/the guy on rs25.com that used the elbow?

Td

He didn't even end up using it because he did a totally different setup.
