hehe, you realize those are all restrictions rightBAC5.2 wrote:Jason, when Roman gets the SHO fixed, you can see what the V8's are made of. He has zero intake restriction (i.e. Throttle body is attached directly to the MAF which is attached to the cone) and some exhaust work done.

Is Roman's car fixed? I need to take a ride in that thing sometime!
BTW, he needs to get that cone filter encapsulated. RIght now, it looks like it's breathing hot engine air!!

Let me rephrase. There is no unavoidable restriction. He's running as free-flowing as possible.
What do you mean "what's on his car?"
Pretty stock I guess. Just the intake work, Mandrel cat-back (with Borla straight through's), shift kit, things like that. Saddly, there is not much available for the G3 SHO.

Yep! All fixed! Got it back from the paint shop yesterday.
We are making it a fender-fed intake in the summer. We (he) didn't worry about it over the winter because between the already cold ambient temp, and the snow tires, it was not really a concern.
Within the next weekend or so, we will probably fix it.

That's the paragraph Thawa was thinking about I think. It is in article 2. It isn't exactly as he remembered it thoughAt full throttle, the flat-six revs right to the solid red at 7000 rpm before shifting up, and although first-to-second and second-to-third shifts are smoothed by a shift-energy strategy that cuts fuel to three cylinders momentarily, the next ratio hooks up pretty quickly. In fact, up- and downshifts are accomplished promptly during full-throttle operation. An electronically controlled hydraulic torque converter lockup mechanism operates on all gears except first and does so with a two-phase action to minimize abrupt driveline sensations.

The rain in the DC/MD/VA area is actually pretty harsh. I've driven around upstate NY and collected lots of bugs on the front of my car. They seemed to be permanently attached; I scrubbed with the wiping thingies at gas stations and it made no difference. I went through weeks of rain and using my wipers and it made no difference. Then I drove back to DC, and after a single rain they wiped off.

Yea, we have mean rain storms sometimes. It's rained so hard to the point where no matter how fast your winshield wipers are flailing, you still can't see. And you'll hit spots of 8 and 10" of standing water. I've not been able to go to school before because of standing water being to deep to safely cross. Well, I could have safely crossed it, but... you know how it is.

I was just talking about volume at a time. GPM if you will. I've never noticed anything about the pH, but I live here.
Legacy777 - Yea, I have a similar one, except with a wall in it and it's full of crap. The wall makes it difficult to do much work in there, but it gets the job done. I usually go next door (the garage in the picture) to do any work on the car that will take any amount of time. I'll have a picture of my garage when I get the pictures of the BAC BOLSTER MOD.
