Yeah that header is UEL but IMHO they sound WAY better than EL. Yeah I had to bring my car back to stock to pass the Nazi SMOG check in California and it took me somewhere around 8 hours to get all my stuff back to stock. It took less time to re-install after I passed

Be sure to keep an eye on the passenger side fan connector. Mine melted to my header and stopped my car dead on the highway. Make sure its tucked well away from that header...

They will get you for the header on smog? Lol Im in Sacramento right now I just picked up the header and down pipe, and ordered a vf28. Now I'm drag racing with the extra weight in the car. Best time stock so far is 15.8. I really want to get lower tonight!

The Smog was the worst i've ever had to pass... they got me for The MBC, BOV, and a broken elbow on the charcoal canister. That was on top of the header, up-pipe and non-stock turbo. I had to go completely back to stock

. Sweet that you racing, post the times as they get lower with the new parts.

Make sure you're keeping track of what fits and what modifications are needed to make things fit. Neither of those exhausts are direct bolt on, you'll have to do some extending. Lot's of things swap over, but it's not a WRX, so not everything will work, plus the differences between years.

the only Subaru i have touch was the 2002 WRX, so all my knowledge comes from this
Im not sure what im missing:
I know the downpipe will bolt up to the turbo, may not fit the trans mount
I know the STI fuel injectors need the NA fuel rails?
I know im going to have to extend the cat-back a few inches
i know i have to cut the y pipe and extend that to make it work with the wrx intercooler
Im not 100% sure how to make the WRX linkage work ( ehhhh)
if im missing anything please let me know im trying to get everything correct before i even touch the car!

Check Out Kimokalihi's build thread he goes over the necessary things to adapt the shift linkage in there including part #'s. My Helix DP bolted to the trans mount no prob. Yeah you need the N/A rails to fit the Yellow injectors. The intercooler hoses will have to be modified so yeah measure 5 times and cut once cause they're not cheap...

95% of WRX parts will work, you just seem to be moving really fast, so I'm just warning you that some don't, and some need to be modified.
The downpipe will have to be extended as well, and most have the o2 bung at the bottom, needs to be at the top or the wiring needs to be extended, looks like yours is kinda in the middle so I don't know what you'll need to do with it. The rest of the stuff I'm not really sure.
Like I said though, just telling you to be careful with what you're buying.
Have you given any thought to suspension or brakes? They kinda go along with the added power usually...

I got a spare MAF you can have cheap. The DP should be direct bolt on, dont see why it would need extending.

Suspension im not sure, no plans of yet. ( was thinking about the jdm sti setup but havent researched the fitment yet )
brakes i have been hearing the SS are really good, but would love to put brembos!

Alright, did some searching, I saw a few other people mention they thought it needed to be lengthened, so I'm not crazy, but it seems that they actually should fit with no modification.
