tranny was a 4.11 but with the front axles removed that does not matter

rear diff is a 3.70 from an auto loyal welded

Really awesome man! I read on the Drift Union blog that you go through like 1 diff a month? Was Shawn exaggerating a bunch or what? 3.70? Have you played with other ratios? I'm converting to RWD for the summer here real soon and was planning on running a welded Forester 4.44, but I also have a 4.11 and 3.90. What's your thoughts please? :P

haha ive only broke one diff and it was welded after a few spider gears broke.
ran 4.11 for most of the time but limiter comes really fast in second with the head swap so i went to the 3.70 for more wheel speed at the same rpm = faster and more smoke.

axles are really weak brake stands are the number one cause and sudden wheel speed changes, dumping the clutch or locking a wheel while on the gas

drive shaft shop makes them for something stupid like 1200 for two. the thing is, if i break one for what ever reason im out a lot of money and the down time getting an other one made

where as axles are 30$ more or less at our wrecker and i can change one in 6 min from jacking up to letting the car down since ive done so many lol

this is very true! I was at pick n pull last weekend debating about pulling a front axle as one of my boots is ripped. And only because they take 5 min to change lol. man $1200, yeessh

I ran one with a ripped boot for almost a year until after a night of snow abuse it let go as i turned into my driveway, So keep an eye on that.

it'll get swapped this summer. With possible EJ20. See how my year goes.

And to bmx, I have my 3.9 rear diff sitting around, not sure if ill need it when I do go ej20 but as a headsup if you end up needing a rear diff in a hurry let me know.

Wow Logan. That looks so hawt. Hey how can you give it so much - camber in the rear? If i go half of that my rim rubs the coilover. I'm assuming its the low offset on the wheel right? I'm on 5x114.3 bbs in the rear

anything 35+ will rub the strut with this much camber if you have slotted struts unless you get rear camber top hats

Yeah I got slotted struts now, per your tip. So looks like I should start shopping for some low offset wheels huh? Dang it. I just finished my bbs's.
