you got to look around rally shop's, performace shops that deal all subaru stuff, jdm motor places have broken motors that sell cheap.
if i come across i send you a pm where they are.

I've kept the stock heads because I've got all the work setup on it already. If I had it to do over again, I'd go DOHC heads. When and if this motor ever goes or if I want more power, I'll just be upgrading to the EJ257 motor. Since I can run it with my Link, it's a no brainer.
With the upgraded wiseco pistons and delta cams, I should be closer to 300 whp. I was at 242 whp & 280 ft-lbs torque to the wheels on stock internals.
I've talked to you a couple of times about your build, and I know you are running a TD05 and the AWIC setup...I never got into your engine build though...could you elaborate? Those are pretty good numbers right there! What boost? Cams, etc...port work?

Those numbers, 242 whp & 280 ft-lbs torque to the wheels was with the following mods/setup:
Stock ej22t internals
MSD Dis 2 ignition
Custom AWIC setup
STi 550 cc/min injector
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
JDM "equal Length" stock exhaust manifolds
Ported TD05-16G
CES turbo back exhaust with high flow cat
Link G4 stand alone ECU
I think that's all the power mods. Boost was around 16-18 psi. Here's the dyno plot.

The difference with the rebuild, I've got Wiseco pistons, which upped the compression ratio, Eagle rods, ACL bearings, and a Delta 220 cam grind. So anticipating that the power shouldn't drop off as much at higher rpms and possible hit sooner due to the higher CR. More than likely, I'll be running a little less boost with the new internals to make similar power.
IMO, I think the largest gains in power is due to the stand alone ECU. The stock ECU just isn't going to give you the power you want with the control you need. I think Rob's custom EJ20G ECU's is probably the best option without going stand alone.
