lightweight crank pully. yes no? does it make a big difference?

Not a big difference..and I don't recommend one. My local Subie factory mechanic told me it's bad for the engine bearings....but I've only heard that from him - not conclusive.

But the front pulley is also a harmonic balancer, so may be some truth to the statement.

BTW, I'm in N. ID - near CDA.

Stock harmonic and lw flywheel is best

I have a lightweight crank pulley form Cobb I believe. I also have a lightweight flywheel. I don't think I noticed much of a change with the crank pulley, maybe a little. They flywheel made a big difference. If you get an aftermarket crank pulley I'd suggest getting one that is not under driven.

Regarding the LW pullies....the more power you make the less difference you'll notice with the LW pulley. On a non-turbo engine, the gains are more noticable than on a turbo engine. Due to the concerns regarding harmonics and the stock pulley providing some means of harmonic dampening, I've gone back to the stock pulley.

Seems like you'd notice it more on a turbo engine since its low compression and doesn't have much power until the turbo kicks in.

Nope.....it was much more noticable on my non-turbo engine.

I never got to see. Sold my set of lightweight pulleys before ever using them.

I've only ran with them on so no idea how big of a diff they make. I foolishly included your lightweight oem flywheel with a tranny I sold last year, and I'm thinking an ej20g needs it moreso than 2.2 guys.

I have a Perrin LW pulley on my engine, I noticed more throttle response on my N/A Legacy than I do now on my TW. It does free up rotational mass, none the less. My N/A Legacy actually had an under drive pulley.

Serious? Aw, man you're lame. Good luck finding another one lol. Maybe off an EJ18? Might have a lighter flywheel than EJ22.

You're not working under a car only supported by a scissor jack, right? Don't ever do that. Just last year a guy was doing that at a subaru meet and it collapsed on him. Use jack stands every time. No excuses!

Wrx shifter console installed new alpine speakers and 12 sub put in now my back seat locks are jammed up and won't lock any ideas?

I'd check the locking mechanism. If it works (is lifting and you can see the latch mechanism move) then I would say that the sub is keeping the seat from going back all the way and latching.

Fixed it I think it was the wires under the dash played with them and now my locking mechanism is working with the key turning again that has not worked in months
