I just finished doing one rear strut on my 93 FWD wagon (maybe I'll get to the other today). I ended up going el cheapo and using the DTA Ultima struts, because the pair was only $100 and everything else goes right onto them (all mounts, springs, top hats).

The old/original struts (about 200k miles and was overloaded a good bit, and trailered) were TOAST... no rebound left whatsoever. Even these el cheapo struts are firm and am improvement by 100x.

For a cheap daily driver, these will do the trick for me.

If they list them as applicable for your car, then they should work, if not, return them. This is what the rear mounts should look like.

damn it. I can't do it myself. Someone want to do it for me for reasonable price for a car this old?

Those Craigslist side jobbbers are lower than commercial shop, but seeing they're charging more than their take home pay, its outrageous.

You may want to post something in the community forum. There's several members in the PDX/Vancouver area.
