Based on what Douglas Vincent has put the open deck block through, it'll handle way more than stock boost levels. I think Doug was running close to 400 awhp on an open deck with insane amounts of boost and E85. He killed more motors just from playing around. I think he finally killed the open deck when it actually split the cylinder liner.

That doesn't mean it would be long-term daily driver reliable too much above stock boost levels. Doug was pulling and rebuilding his motors every couple thousand miles. I would be willing to bet that a good condition EJ22 open-deck block on 9psi (or more) with EJ22T pistons would live a nice healthy 200,000+ mile life just like a factory EJ22T.
