I've used cometics almost every time I've done other dohc builds though. It seems like they're just the "go to" for builds. Wiseco makes head gaskets as well. I have a set of them in my garage. They look identical to cometic gaskets. I wish I could have used them but they're too thin, .040", they're probably for custom pistons that don't protrude the deck surface.

Yeah the quench scared me. I got them in a trade deal so I can't send them back. Oh well. I might use them some day on something I don't necessarily care about.
