Contact Mike @ Revtronix for the final word, but he's sending me another chip this week to hopefully finish up testing.
I've been testing w/datalogging software for the last few weeks and Mike has been doing some fine-tuning based on the results.
Thanks
Td

What dataloging software/hardware are you using? I just ordered up the Evo-scan usb cable and software this week. Planning on getting a baseline of sorts before I start adding any new components.

Provided by Revtronix for testing.

I have the EvoScan stuff, and will be trying a beta version of Revtronix' logging SW as soon as I get some time, Mike says it should work with my EvoScan cable. I haven't been able to get anything done on the car recently, too many out of town conferences lately. As wtdash said, the TD-04 chip should be here soon.........

maybe i'll email him in a week or sumthin. i just hadnt heard anything so i was makin sure it hadnt been forgotten. its good to hear they're revising it. i'd rather wait a bit longer and get a perfected product than rush into it and have it half assed.
i'm probably about as excited for the chip as i was when i put the TD-04 in.
and along with new struts and springs and swaybars its gonna be like a brand new car!

Will be really cool when the user programmable chip is released. Alot of us would definitely invest in the chip if it was user programmable for sure.

+2. I just bought a piggyback because I can't wait that long, but if the user-programmable chip comes out, I'll more than likely switch over to it.

I really want to get a stage 1. But a stage 3 that I could plug in to my computer and monitor would be MUCH more fun!

You can already monitor the ECU with EvoScan (parameters/conversions still need tweaking) or Revscan's custom monitoring/logging tool. Both work with the USB EvoScan subaru cable.
As for the chip, anyone able to view/find the new user manual? The download link doesn't appear to have anything...

This summer I will probably order the stage 1, but won't stage 3 allow me to upload or tune w/e I want. AKA run stage 1 or 2?

i believe thats stage 4 the user tuneable with a laptop version
stage 3 is going to be with bigger turbos than the TD-04 like the TD-05 and the VF series sti turbos.
or at least thats what i thought

Hell ya! Stage 3 is going to be really fun! I have been waiting for this for some time now. I can wait to get my VF39 with sti 550's in. I cant wait until they start dynoing.
Any one like to tell how much funner it is to be running around with stage 2?

Yes, stage 3 should be interesting - GM MAF and aftermarket EBC leading much higher boost options...
It will be a tranny breaker for sure!

Front mounted IC is strongly recommended I think...

OOO ya! I can only imagine. I wonder how much power they will be putting down with stage 3??? over 200 to the pavement i hope.

Let's hope for the maximum safe power that doesn't grenade stuff. Not aiming for a number just want to make my mods run up to their full potential...Cheers,
