Got mine put in yesterday!Still having a small problem with surging while cold, pretty minor and only lasts about 5 - 10 seconds.Other than that the car feels crystal clear and smooth as hell - 2 thumbs up so far.Now if i can just figure out why i only run 8psi i will be really happy.

just have a little problem ,im in normal mode put the mbc at 14 psi and i'm still got knock, i got it before without the chip with stock maf and stock injector at 10 psi, i dont know if its real knock or just my knock light that flash because its not well callibrated?? i dont hear knock really , but i dont know i've never heard a car knocking so i dont really knock how it sound... but the light ofter blink... and the car pull strange with stage 2 chip, normal mode(i just have 91 here its the max i can get...) jecs maf, 550 cc injector...

i also put my safc to zero everywhere, remove my old setup that i had before put the chip...

aniwai what to do? is that normal the car is acting strange during WOT? i've to wait coule of tank to let the ecu learn?....

yeah, after wrote to revtronix they tell me to gap the sparkplug to ,0.032 instead of 0.040 stock

its what i tried and the car feel so much better, pulling realy hard at 14 psi on my td05h thats amazing! no more hesitation or anything

just do it gap at 0.032 it really worth it!

0.028 will be better than 0,032?

because i have a little knock, but dont know if putting .028 will help or not putting at .032 help a lot near no knock anymore but still have sometime on the knocklight, maybe to lean? or its my motor mount that need to be change i dont know,

i tried .028 its ok, still knocking a little bit on the knock light but not a lot an intercooler sprayer kit will help i think, i canot say if its better than when i put them at .032 but you said go to .028 so i did it!

Update: the v.2 Stage 2 is working out great for me so far. I even took off the TD-04 and put on the VF-8. What I really want is a VF-39 though. Driveability feels awesome, and even the cold-running mode is pretty well cleaned up. Two thumbs up, Revtronix!

That actually wasn't too bad, the "early adopter" experience in technology products can be much, much worse........

whats a knock light? maybe you just have a bad knock sensor?

I assume he means something like a TurboXS Knock Light. Otherwise, connecting to the ECU with a select tool of some sort will also show you the knocking the ECU sees.

yes its turbo xs knock light and my knock sensor is new from 2 month!

that knock light says it learns from the car, i wonder how sensitive it is.

could the ignition maybe be weak.

Well shit, I had no idea that we were supposed to re-gap our plugs; looks like I'll be doing that today. Think that means that I'll also need to reset my ECU? I wonder if it's pulled timing due to slight knock created by the larger gap...

Ditto. Would've been nice if Mike sent out an email or put something in the installation directions to regap them.

Who was the first that heard of this from Revtronix?
Notable / measurable difference?

Per Mike @ Revtronix (after I asked about adding gapping info to instructions):

"...I don't think gapping to 0.028 is necessary in all cases. Actually, you should try to run as large a gap as possible that doesn't give you misfiring under boost. I don't really have enough data to put anything solid in the instructions yet..."

ahh, I see. So once someone's chip has completely learned (i.e. AFR is a solid 11.5 during WOT), then it's time to do some data logging of knock senor.

Hmm, I went ahead and regapped mine to .030 for shits and giggles, plus an ECU reset. I'll let you know later tonight if I've felt much of an improvement.

Actually, I kinda/sorta am...temporarily. I'm testing a couple VF11's I have in my collection.

Using an MBC set @ 11-12psi, no IC, and it ran fine in the Normal mode....in fact, I thought it ran great.

Any risk in trying power mode no IC? LOL! Its going to be difficult not trying full throttle on just normal mode.

Hey, I don't want liability/responsibility...so I'll say 'there's always a risk'!

Plus Revtronix states to use an IC w/the Stage 2.....do as your told for once, will ya? :-)

With a stock turbo you won't see much improvement if any. The VF11 ain't made for such things.
