Chris - Wow, that sounds like it was a fun project. I'm sorry it ended the way it did.

I'm studying Computer Graphics. My thesis is on medical imaging. It's interesting stuff, and I do really feel like I'm going to be making a useful contribution to the world, but it sucks when politics and personalities get in the way.

I know what you mean, but I was actually referring to politics at a much smaller scale (like at my educational institution)... It's a shame that something that's supposed to be as pure as academia suffers from such a counterproductive phenomenon.

I really need to learn some of this stuff. I can wire stuff, but get me into boards and chips and whatnot and I am completely lost.

After that, I hope to have plenty of time to play with the boostjunkie Legacy and one of the big things I want to do there is reprogram its ECU. I expect to have something useful sometime this year.

And yes... university politics were pretty bad at my school too. Forgot you were still going through that. Half the time the engineering professors didn't teach their own classes, sent their unprepared TAs. The parking services department was purely there to make as much money from the students as possible... paying $60 per semester to park in dirt lots nowhere near the buildings was painful. They even had bulletproof glass for their service windows. The business admin building had three 55" widescreen plasma HDTVs in their lobby and always had new Dell computers - the engineering building got all the crap. Some of our labs were even using the original Pentiums! And I won't even go into our electronics test equipment.

Yes, I did get the email, but right now I don't have access to my ECU work, since my computers are all packed for moving and I don't have internet access except at work. As soon as I can get the ROM dump I'll send it to you.

Actually, I just thought of something -- I sent it to mikec a few weeks ago. Maybe he could forward you the email I sent him? Drop him a PM.

I don't think any additional work has gone into what Vikash (vrg3) started. Things have kind of turned to focus on tuning the EJ20G ECU to work with the ej22t motor.

I see, thanks for the reply, I wonder if there are any fuel maps for that as well. I am really attempting to put the ej22t pink 360cc injectors and rails on my rig, problem is that with my map for the 280cc injectors and with the ej22t injectors it runs so rich that the o2 sensor notices and shuts down the injectors. The tune is with Eeproms so I can make different tunes but they have to be burned to the chip. what I want to do is verify the maf load multiplier and injector dead times with the fuel map scale for the 360cc injectors so I can have number to go by to reduce the fuel mostly at low load and rpm without guessing. Currently using the 280cc injectors and rrfpr it runs rich at low rpm and load and lean at high rpm and load but pushing around 250 hp will run lean with the tiny old injectors flow rate. Any fuel map experts may be able to help with this confusing mess I am unsure where to look.

I'd suggest trying to email Rob or Vikash (vrg3) and see if they can help you. Both are quite busy and sometimes don't respond right away. There is another member, Michael (longassname) that has done some developmental work. You could also try contacting him.
