ok that makes more sense.

maybe the morgie style fcd makes the car run richer for some reasaon. i remember right his car was running richer than he had ever scene it.

Hmm, I don't know about that. A FCD shouldn't have anything to do with fuel mixtures. It just keeps the ECU or MAP from seeing enough boost to induce fuel cut. Plus the ECU throws our injectors into 100% IDC at anything above about 12 psi, which is before fuel cut in most circumstances anyways.

I would have preferred to have been at 12:1 or 11.5:1

13.5:1 is a little bit to lean for my tastes.

While technically, I was still rich, as Vikash said, I was not comfortably rich.

thats understandable.

on the fcd, isnt it at all possible that a bleed valve that doesnt let the sensor see any or little boost will force the car to rely on maf and o2 readings to pump gas. unlike a electronic fcd.

im thinkin of getting a pure morgie style (no boost seen by the sensor ) adn using the adjustable one i have now and the one NuwanD is sending me and seeing how each may or may not effect the afr when i do dyno runs.

Ya, it would have to but the thing is that if the MAF is seeing really high readings and the MAP is seeing nothing, I think the ECU would go into safe mode (hopefully, it might actually go into limp mode which is bad), which would make you run rich because you won't get any fuel trims. IIRC Morgies FCD bled off excess boost but still sent around 10 psi to the MAP. The thing is though that the MAF sensor hits the rail at around 12 psi, so no matter what, your injectors will go 100% IDC. That's the factor that is causing the sometimes overly rich condition, not the FCD/MAP. See what I mean?

Also remember, 440cc injectors for the ADM, that we don't get. I'd probably be running 10:1 if I had 440cc injectors :).

man i got to keep up wiht who got which injectors.

according to the fcd post his bled off was anything above vac. it was nuwan that had his set at 10psi.

what about a rrfpr. would that help to make a safer richness

if you had 440cc injectors w/o some type of Aftermarket tuning control, your car would be running like SHIT, thats why i swapped mine back to stock, untill i get some type of tuning control :D
