I called today, and checked online. There's still 2 group spots open, but it requires a deposit to save a site, and I wont have any $$ for another few days, so we'll have to wait til next week to make a reservation

Cool I'm down. And I don't care how much time off work I need to take, life is too short not to have fun with friends.

for those that want to dyno contact me as soon as you decide and I can assure you a spot.

HEHEH. i cant wait! damn car needs to get finished. anyway im ramblin on so i guess ill go now. Ill try to make it everyone!! bring some friends along as well. :D

Bah, I think you should dyno at perfection, it'll be better that way :). Aren't dynapacks more precise? And it's only 15 dollars more, you could save like a quarter a day until the dyno day and have more than enough to make up the difference.

could you dyno an AWD AT in FWD mode? my AWD is broken and it doesnt look like the 5 speed will be coming soon (my brothers Gearset is STILL in my tranny case, the loser wont take it out :x ) i might have the auto fixed by then, but can you dyno a subaru AWD AT car? arent they primarily FWD until the front wheels slip? or something like that?

Posted: Tue Mar 29, 2005 8:29 am
by THAWA
I think theoretically you can, but you could just dyno it as an awd right? What is broken?

i think my i remember my dad saying something about the center clutch packs being worn out. we put it up in the air while in gear and the rear wheels spun but you could stop them with no effort. so i just put the FWD fuse in.

Isn't that how it's supposed to be? If you just had it in drive with no load on the engine or anything, not accellerating, or anything like that there shouldn't be much torque transfered to the rear, right? Though it should start transfering when you stop the wheels, or at least one of the wheels.

yeah, i was in the car giving it a little gas, and my brother would just stop the wheel with his hand....... he said there was no resistance.

Sounds like you have a bad case of open rear diff, jake. Let him try that with 1 wheel on the ground.

I'm in guys...I am down in Salem, it would rock to have a premeet on the Friday down my way, since I am on the way to the Portland area.

Just keep me updated on the when/where/what side of things and I'll be there!

Should be a blast

Also, we are having an Autocross in Salem on the 20th, should be a blast and its only $21 to run all day and they give you a helmet!!
