No, I'm sorry but you are wrong.
Header wrap is made for a reason. Turbo's are wrapped for a reason. The faster exhaust flows through the turbo, the better.
You want the headers, crosspipe, and uppipe to retain as much heat as possible, to help spool time.

so then heat isn't bad for it now is it?

Notice, also, you must wait for the car to WARM UP before driving hard.
You don't get peak performance on cold parts.
I mean, shit, look at the SR71. That thing leaks fuel and shit like a mofo at the surface, but once it's 85,000 feet above the surface, it's tighter than Britney.

too much heat is bad for anything. I work on computers....I have seen melted intels.

you kinda just contradicted yourself there, because britney is not tight.

Yeah too much heat is bad for anything, and not enough heat is just as bad. Go start a computer in -60 degree weather.

We call that overclocking...LMMFAO!!!!!

I said weather not cpu temp. And last I checked there weren't many people that had cpu temps that low. Lowest I had heard was like -20 and that was using liquid nitrogen

So your saying that engines perform their best as soon as they are started?
You said yourself, that your car runs shitty on a "cold" start.

I built a computer inside a dorm sized fridge once....that was fun.

was it -60 degrees? It couldn't have been, because you said it was a frige.

I have never gotten a computer that cold. I wouldn't put myself out in that hell let alone a computer.....well maybe a gateway or acer....just to see what would happen.
Off subject: I took apart an old compaq the other day and it had a subwoofer in it. I now use it on a 13" tv I have in my garage....that thing actually makes god bass. Doesn't rattle the windows or anything but it is interesting. I hear those Bose wave radios pound pretty good too.

it wouldnt start that's what would happen.

when do we subject our cars or computers to -60?
I have a computer in my car so I could do both with one shot.

We wouldn't, because it wouldn't be to smart. Just like putting a turbo under the gas tank.

you're completely missing the point

Fuck it. I'm going to put a turbo in the gas tank. The gasoline will keep it cool.

i totally suggested that to phil

It would increase fuel pressure right?

HOLY SHIT! Hardy called that one! WOAH, I'm freakin out!
Gives a whole new meaning to the Turbo Pump.

THAWA...
It's about the same here. What are you running the good stuff in?

We could have turbo Fear Factor style and put it in a tank of worms...

My car, if you consider 91 good stuff
Posted: Thu Mar 10, 2005 8:43 am

I run 87 so anything better than 87 is "the good stuff." I used to run 85 in CO.

OR, you could stuff the twin turbos on your JDM TT under the gas tank, and compare drivability to my car.
I'd be willing to bet, that my car wins.

I don't mess with what works (and is cheap) the TT's are staying where they are.....and I'll smmmooookkkkeeeeee ya!
I'm going to race everyone around here!! Just to see the look on their face when they get toasted by a wagon.
