nothing will blow up.

your CEL might come on for like 5 - 10 mins afterwards (when you first drive it) but it'll go off.

Yeah the criticism in this thread is really petty. The guy just built one hell of a hybrid that I would die for, yet people have got to fault him for his:
a) stickers (relatively tasteful - more of a sleeper than your average civic)
b) grease on the engine (why would you waste time on this?)
c) spelling (he probably writes better than the average nasioc'er)

Give him a break. It's a cool car. If I had it, my plates would read:
"22B ISH"

And yes, I am aware of all the differences between this car and a 22B.

That car reminds me of an X1/9.

Personally, I wouldn't go with a wing since they're more stealth and I think they look cleaner without it.

Yeah, either a small wing, or wingless would look the best, IMO.

Keep it sleeper :-D

evolutionmovement we had 2 x1/9 when i was like 10. i no it has the x1/9 raceing rims on it, little rim in the front and huge one in the back. it also got 308 tail lights, i try and get some more pics of it.

wiscon_mark thats what i was thinking about keeping it sleeper, plus the wing i want the rally one would be to crazy and then id blow my cover hahah.

bmxpunk thanks, i cant wiat to see yours when its done. i no how you feel when there not done i just wanted to drive it i was going nuts its like a addiction.

That Impreza's a nice project. Even though I'd change some cosmetic things, it's still a sleeper since those badges are relatively small.
Keep it wingless.

My friend and I saw an X1/9 sitting on the road for sale one day, $500. I, of course, screamed "STOP!!!" at him  We walked over to it, inspected it, no major rust issues, and the woman whose husband owned it was gardening outside. She said the clutch was gone and he just wanted rid of it. My friend and I were liking the sound of this more and more.

Then I got... wait... I should say attempted to get in it. I reached down and pulled the seat all the way back until the headrest hit the rear window and the seat wouldn't even latch back in its track. I eventually managed to squeeze into it, but there would be no way I could drive it in the position I had worked myself into.

I'm 6'3", maybe even 6'4" and moderately built. I'm a big boy.

 That car woulda been so much fun too...

Pretty sweet that your dad has a foundry where he can make his own wheels!

What type of rubber did he use to make those tires out of?

It's like pimp my ride...but Semi-Amish style.
