Was your old stock turbo legacy radiator a two row?

I still think the n/a radiator will work. I've been using it on my setup. However I would recommend if you have a turbo car to use a turbo radiator since it will fit. I would probably have bought one if it would fit.

The turbo radiator was $200 more, and there were none availible, it could have been weeks to bring one in, and with a radiator that acted like a seive, I didnt really have that option

I know.....that's fine.....I'm just giving my opinion :) That's all it is.....opinion. You did what you had to do to get the car running again. I'm not dissing it....because it's the same setup I have.

BTW, do you still have your old radiator laying around? Any chance you could take some pictures of it?

Thanks

I had to put an n/a radiator in my car because i couldn't find any good turbo radiators and i didn't have money for a new one.

The n/a radiator is shorter than the turbo one so...the fans and shrouds will be taller than the radiator I used bailing wire to hold everything together....until i can find a turbo radiator. Also the brackets that hold the radiator down obviously wont fit because the radiator won't come up high enough. But it cools it good enough, even with my large turbo.

Thanks for the pics.

I can't tell from the pics, but is the turbo legacy radiator you pulled out a dual row radiator?

Ive still got a pretty bad leak somewhere, I have to fill up the radiator every 2-3 days. Whats the best way to track this down?

A pressure test can be an easy way to do it. Try attaching a bicycle pump (ideally one with a pressure gauge on it) to the overflow nipple on the filler tank and pressurizing the system to about 15 to 20 psi that way.

That'll tell me if theres a leak, but how do I physically find it?

When you pressurize the system, the coolant should spray out of the leak.

Ok so I can see where the coolant is leaking onto, its collecting and boiling on the heatshield clamp-thing under the front of the engine, near the bottom. That main lower tube seems to be securely mounted tho....

This is such a pain in the ass, Im thinking about replacing all the radiator hoses and clamps, but that entales another rad flush...

Any ideas where it could be leaking from?
