This last one is the space between the IC and the radiator. The plate you see at the bottom of the IC is the bottom of the bumper; the top has been cut out.
The words "Tokyo Radiator" are misleading; that is in fact an intercooler, or at least it's being used as one.
Isuzu NPR Boxtruck intercooler by chance?

Mike - That does seem like a great option for those not looking to make ridiculous power. Bigger does provide the nice benefit of having additional thermal mass, but intercoolers as big as Chris', Nico's and the one I'm picking up aren't for people without sawzalls.
fixed.and im thinking of going reverse mani too but there is one problem which im pretty sure your gonna run into, and that is the throttle will hit the hood.

As a ma'fact, I do believe that is correct. I think the eBay auction only said "Izuzu truck intercooler." I had no idea which vehicle it came from, only that it could probably be made to fit on the front of me Scooby.

I'm sure I could figure out how to make it fit....
I am not really concerned about cutting. I'll cut the hell out of the bumper if I have to.

just a tip for pepole doing front mount, i no its not safe but i could have made my huge intercooler fit with out seeing it and keeping the factory head lights.
if you take out the bumper beam THERE IS SO MUCH ROOM, my dad MADE me keep it there even on my impreza. i told him if i smash some one, you wont even remember what the car looked like hahahha.

I intend to modify the bumper beam as little as possible.
I am sure that I will get the intercooler to fit, with minimal cutting.

Definately craploads of room without the beam; but I left the majority of it intact, just cut the top sheet enough for the IC.
The bumper beam is built like a Volvo part in its stock form though. Looks like it could run quite a few vehicles off the road at high speeds with little to no damage

does anyone know of an intercooler with the dimensions probably around 24"x6" or 7"x3" or 4"? im trying to do a front mount with as little cutting as possible. i want it to be able to fit in the small opening area on the bottom of the bumper. but i also want an inlet/outlet of 2.75". i want to do as little piping size changes as possible.
if anyone else has better recommendations i would like to hear it. i dont expect to make huge amounts of power. probably close to 200 to the wheels for now. please let me know what you guys think. thanks!

i found this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... Track=true
seems like a good dimension that would fit in there pretty good without cutting too much. is 2.5" inlet/outlet piping a good size? i will have to get it to fit the turbo outlet and the throttle body. how big is the turbo outlet size anyone know? seems pretty small. 1.75" probably? let me know what you guys think. thanks!
EDIT: also found this one, 2.75" inlet/outlet
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FMIC-TUR ... 3292QQrdZ1
i need help deciding, which would be the better inlet/outlet size??
