LMAO my dad said to me not to buy it. I plan to buy it during the spring or summer as a project car. The guy is including a good tranny though. I figure if I rebuild the EJ22T swap in the lower mileage tranny and diff. That takes care of the drivetrain I hope. Only thing that will suck is the car has a LSD from what I remember. He told me the 2nd gear was slipping. I wanted to try a little tlc (aka lucas tranny fix and first a fluid change though, then try adjusting the brake band etc.. do all the hardheaded things possible). Then I would rebuild the brake gaskets, do the fluid, pads, discs, lube up the sliders. Then get some tires. THEN HOPEFULLY it will be a fine everyday vehicle for me to go to school with.
Looks like my dad is going back to idea of the impreza even though insurance cost more. He just wants a new Subaru. Who doesn't though right? Me lmao. I would really miss the wagon if it was traded in.

Why would an LSD suck?!?!? I really want one!

I can't use the LSD I think. The tranny he is including comes with another rear diff. So I am not sure on the gear ratio. I might be able to swap out the internals.

i drove it around the block its not bad needs a bit of work. tranny is no good at all, but the body is mint.
try and work him down on the price its not worth it, and if you want a auto tranny let me no i got shit loads of them so you can keep lsd.

You can find LSDs in almost every gear ratio... 3.90, 4.11, 4,44
I doubt you can find it in 3.70 lol
But if its a stock 91 turbo than it ought to be the same as the tranny...
I know that the manual tranny 91s had a rear VLSD... did the autos?

dude honestly!! perfect. I will give you a shout when I get the car. It was that bad the tranny?? Car had 300k right? Definitely right about the body, that's why I want it. Actually I might need a transmission for my wagon if we do end up keeping it.

No way man I am pushing the engine forever. atleast I can still say the engine is original at 307,000KM. All I will do when I pull it is the head gaskets all the front and rear gaskets and seals. Nothing to far internal. Maybe even valve seals? I wonder if I should also do the rings. Maybe I should just go turbo?? XD I would but this is moms car I am getting the black legacy for me personally.
