Hey tell me more about that !!
I have a vibration in my driveline between 90 to 130 km p h,
It came after that sunday !!
I tried other wheels, other drive shafts ... Still don't know what is is,
it also depends on accellerating or decellerating or maintain a constant speed.

More pictures,

California Car Duster. 10 bucks at Autozone. Works great. For the guy from Europe - Dunno if you can get one overseas.dropdfocus wrote:I've been dealing with killer pollen this season constantly causing all of my vehicles to be tinted yellow. Wash the Legacy & literally 30 minutes later you can run your hand across the hood & have pollen on your fingers.

I've always jacked up the car by the rear differential. I use a block of wood, but if you're bushings are in good shape, I don't really see an issue.ciper wrote:You aren't supposed to jack the car up by the differential.

The center drive shaft has some play, but not at the joints or cross connection .... ? I can move it slightly around the rubber holder, ericem wrote:About the vibration, check the center driveshaft bearing and/or universals, just shake the driveshaft and see if there is play.
but when there is no play it will brake.
Also i've checked if all the ballance plates are on the shaft, i don't see een empty space where a balance plate could have been.
What i have checked:
- I mounted other wheels, same problem.
- Other drive shafts at the front. same problem
- I've checked the ... block where you insert the wheel bearing and it's connections to the carry arm, steering rod etc. Seems fine,
- The car does it in 4 and in 5 fifth gear so it's not the engine.

I do think that jacking the car up at the diff could damage the center driveshaft bearing but a very technical man has allready checked my bearings at the center drive shaft and couldn't find a malfunction.
Is it possible that the slightest play can cause the car to vibrate?
I can feel it in my chair and in the steering wheel so the whole car vibrates between those speeds. When i drive 115km the car vibrates but when i accellerate to 125 ut's almost gone and at 130 it;s back ....

Yes, you can jack up the car there, but it will put unneeded stress on the bushings & wear them out more quickly. It should not be used as a common point to lift the car. Only when absolutely needed.

I'm not stating that it's mean to be a point to use, but if you had to you could. It's HIGHLY recommended (yes, by dealership techs) that you choose the body over the drive-train to utilize as a jack point. I was not discrediting you, but more stating that it could be a point if you had no other option (for whatever reason).
And yes, this is all getting way off topic & stealing SubOnno's thunder...

These days i'm going to dismount my car for the biggest part, and on sunday we will put in the black dashboard and black interior pasrts as well as a rear seat and passenger chair !!
We organized a (work)meeting on sunday with 5 legacy;s so it'll be big fun !!!

No the back seat comes from a sedan, station won't fit. There are some 15" turbo rims left, some body panels, maybe an exhaust system .. that''s it.legacy4ever wrote:backseat from the wagon in the sedan? hmm I'm curiousgood luck with the swap anyway! are there anymore parts left from the Turbo Wagon?
btw did you find the reason for the vibrations you mentioned earlier?
I didn;t find the reason for the vibrations yet, it still does. Next month the car will be lowered and other stabi's will be fitted. Then I have to align the car and maybe balance the wheels. I can also try to replace the central drive shaft with the turbo one. Maybe that's it or maybe it isn't.
I'm also going to overhaul the brake calipers and place new discs and pads at the front in the next months.
I'm busy with the car almost all the time, i'm building some home audio speakers also.
Time isn't really the problem, money is !!!

I'm looking for stabis from a Turbo, so if you guys would have found some definitely let me know.
as for the vibrations firstly check if the wheels are balanced. I also had some wierd vibrations and noises, the reason - one bolt was missing were the driveshaft is joined together.
