"no matter how big a guy might be, nico would take him on. you beat nico with fists, he comes back with a bat. you beat him with a knife, he comes back with a gun. and if you beat him with a gun, you better kill him because he'll keep coming back and back until one of you is dead."

thats only happens when you push a canadian to the max of some point, and the only time it should be like that when there is no other option left for the person. but still you must think of what your doing and will happen to this person.

Hot stuff. Must have been really fun popping that 50. My former neighbor used to go out to the hills of Wyoming and Utah with a Barrett 50 cal and go for some really long distance shots. The right guy on the right day can put one into a target accurately at over a mile. He taught me how to hit a target at 1000 yards with his .223 Armalite and I thought that was a long distance. Army snipers rock!

An armed society is a polite society.

P.S. - Politicians shouldn't be concerned with .50 cal rifles. They should be concerned with .38 snub nosed revolvers. As far as I know, not one civilian has been killed with a .50 cal.

It's true. . . the .50 cal pistols COULD be an issue, but I doubt it. Thing is, with a .50 cal rifle, you don't KILL someone. . . . you obliterate them. That, and the rifles are HEAVY . . . too heavy (and too powerful) to shoot while holding and standing.

If you want to use a .50 cal rifle to shoot someone. . . you've got to really plan for it. This is why we'll likely never see someone use it in a crime . . . if they did, they'd probably be going after something big.

Most people who own big bore firearms usually are not looking to commit crimes. They're too damn expensive. It's much easier to use something like a .223 or .30. Then again, how many people are killed with a rifle besides hunting accidents? Couldn't be near as many as pistols.

You don't even need to get a direct hit with a .50 cal to mess someone up. The shock wave alone is enough to make someone's brain turn to jelly. So says my Marine buddy, who's job is to man a Ma Deuce on a humvee.

Hmmm... I wonder if I could see Ted Kennedy's fat head from a mile away? j/k

The deer are, apparently, unrecognizeably blown apart. It's his entertainment. He misses shooting people with the things, especially removing their heads. He's technically a farmer so he can shoot all he wants, but I think he just grows stuff to attract deer. He donates the meat to the mentally challenged place since he can't sell it or eat it all himself and he hates the mentally challenged so the less he can give the better, I guess. He has some interesting stories. I'll probably be like this prick in 20 years.

Barrett is developing a 25mm Anti-Cargo rifle. Borderline sniper rifle/field cannon. Doubt it will be for civillian use. You'd probably blow a whole paycheck on a box of rounds for it if it was.

That's why loading your own large-caliber rounds kicks ass. ;)

Indeed, but the raw lead or copper would still be pricey for the quantity you'd need.
